Unleash Your Child’s Creativity with Wooden Toy
Blocks
Give children some
wooden toy blocks and just
sit back and watch them. You’ll marvel at their imagination and originality. And it’s amazing how many
hours of fun they have in the process—all the while playing independently, which can be a bonus for the adult at
times.
There are a variety of toy blocks: wooden building
blocks, alphabet blocks, number blocks, stack and learn blocks, unit blocks and wooden puzzle blocks, just to name
a few.
Wooden building blocks
promote and encourage children’s creativity. There are wooden toy number blocks which teach children to recognize
numbers and to count; they also help to improve children’s ability to learn math principles. Some of these come in
jumbo sizes.
The traditional wooden alphabet blocks are
colorful and teach children the alphabet. They’ll have spelling fun by learning how to spell out their names. These
alphabet blocks are also available as combination numbers and alphabets. Children enjoy building towers atop
towers with these building blocks.
Unit toy blocks allow children be as imaginative
as they want to be. These wood toy blocks come in sets with different shapes and sizes and help with the
development of the child’s imagination and motor skills.
Wooden puzzle blocks are another great educational
toy block tool. Wooden stack-and- learn blocks have different designs on each side of the puzzle. This
teaches the child the alphabet, to count, how to sort a puzzle, and to associate different shapes with
objects.
You may just be creating an architect in your
family when you give your child the wooden block bricks or the wooden block Greek columns. These foster your
child’s creative expression. And the colorful see-through wooden blocks teach your child to recognize colors
and the shapes of triangles, rectangles, half circles, etc.
Wooden sound blocks give children confidence. To
help reinforce cause and effect and matching skills, these blocks reward children with realistic sounds when they
correctly match two picture halves that are in a wooden tray.
Giving your child toy blocks will have a positive
impact on his or her development. Add to that another benefit: Wooden toy blocks can allow a child and an
adult to work together on projects and interact with each other in a loving, sharing manner.
